A Battlefield clan for 35+ AU/NZ players.
A place for “grownups” to hang out and play Battlefield together. Casual most nights, options to get serious.
Feeling lonely, confused, lost?
Or just wondering why that random squad mate won't revive you. This might be it.
Dreaming of a community where you don't get told you're too old to be playing video games? Same.
I'm Beefcake_101, ex {=NSOF=}, and with BF6 pulling good player numbers I reckoned there should be somewhere for us older Battlefield players to hang out and have fun online together. Just to be clear, I'm talking online FPS fun. No bowls, no keys.
The idea is that RYE will be for anyone from noob to “try hard sweat” (as my kids would say): casual most nights, with options to get serious.
This is probably you if...
- 01You're 35 or older, playing from Australia or New Zealand.
- 02Your real-life mates hardly game, or don't share your enthusiasm for BF6.
- 03You want a place with plenty of like-minded gamers you can squad up with to have fun.
- 04You're over the toxicity, or the complete VOIP silence, that comes free with random lobbies.
- 05You'd rather a handful of real friendships than a long list of names.
What the idea actually is
Casual by default
Jump on after the kids are down, play a few rounds, log off. No attendance sheet.
Serious options
Organised squad nights and proper comms for those who want to sweat a bit. Opt-in, always.
Battlefield-focused
Not a do-everything server. One game, one community, done properly.
The deal
The whole code of conduct fits on a beer coaster. If any line is a problem, this isn't your clan.
- 35 or older. Not negotiable.
- AU or NZ based. Local servers, local hours.AU or NZ based. We play on local servers, local hours.
- No cheating. Ever. One strike, gone.
- No toxicity. Banter yes, punching down no.
- Respect the mix. Casual and serious both belong.Respect the mix. Casual players and serious players both belong here.
The honest bit
This is early days. There's no big roster to show you and no highlight reel. The plan is a community owned by the people in it. I'm happy to cover the costs for a little while (it's not like there are a lot) and help to try to get it up and running... but I'm also looking for people who want to help build the thing as well. I might be sentimental, but I find myself pining for the old days where half a dozen or more folks would pitch in to help run an online community without any egos.
Registering interest now - and hopefully we can have our first squad session in August, who knows it might even be on Wake...
Keen? Put your hand up.
One short form. We'll be in touch when the first squad session is locked in.
